Now let's get into this review.
Witnessing Asher and Keira's instant connection in Astral, made the hopeless romantic in me want more immediately. They had that friendly banter that seemed like they could have known each other for much longer than we see on page.
Fast forward to Asher somewhat going through a career demise and in his personal life he feels isolated from what he has made his whole life. Football! It may have seemed like he escaped his problems by running straight to Woodgate, a place he previously thought was a town to country for him. I loved to witness how his time spent in Woodgate brought out a side of him that he hadn't been able to access in his childhood and now famous adulthood. Asher and Keira's continuously growing bond was truly something to witness. On Asher's part there was never any question on whether he knew what he wanted and how he would present himself to showcase that he knew exactly what he wanted. If Keira needed him, he was there. If Devon needed him, he was there. And his potential to be more to Devon than just his mom's boyfriend had me swooning for every interaction the two shared. I absolutely loved how Skye managed to incorporate several scenes showing how stand up of a guy Asher is even with his life seeming to be crumbling in the back of his mind. Asher and Keira had the kind of growing love you can see written across their faces when you are in the room with them. I'm glad Keira admitted to herself rather quickly what the two were building. I believed being bold with Asher allowed her mind to free itself from those negative thoughts of never having control of her life and growing far bigger than just working for someone else. By the end of the story, I was ultimately satisfied with the how Author Skye Moon painted such a beautiful world wind love affair. The Epilogue just wasn't enough, i need babies and marital bliss between the two and many more Super Bowl kisses under confetti. This short story is a 5 star to me, I absolutely would recommend !!!
