What Kind Of Reader Are You?

Are you THAT reader? In the group read, are you complaining about not being in the mood for this? Bored because there is not enough angst and drama? Or are you THAT reader that will stop not even halfway through and be ready for the next book?

What Kind of reader are you?

The Emotional Reader

The reader that becomes the character in the book. Feeling everything the characters are feeling, deeply. Are you crying because the MMC proposed on a yacht unexpectedly, under the stars after telling you how deep his love runs for you? Or Is your anxiety high because the killer in the murder mystery you’re reading is close to being revealed? Sometimes you may even have to close the book because you’re embarrassed as if you are inside the book as well. You may be an emotional reader.

The Spoiler Lover

This reader has to be classified as a special kind of reader. You open the book, and you read the synopsis, then you do the thing a regular reader would not dare do… you go to the back of the book to see how it all ends. Spoiler… Lover! Is this you? Reading the end, before reading it from the beginning to see how it unfolds. You my fellow bookie may be a Spoiler Lover.

The Series Junky

Do you see a stand-alone novel and think… That can’t possibly be enough books for me. Do you pick up a book and search to see if there’s a part two? The series junky usually always finishes a series, perhaps staying up late at night binge-reading a series. Are you a re-reader of your favorite series before reading a stand-alone book? Series Junky may be very fitting for you.

The Partial Reader

Do you hardly finish books you start? Are you Queen/King of the term “DNF” (do not finish)? How many bunny ears do you have in the middle of books you have yet to return to? If you are constantly telling yourself, “ill come back to it.” But you never do, you just start a new book, then you may be a partial reader.

The Polygamist Reader

Any and every book that she sees has been released, she devours. You do not discriminate when it comes to the genre, the author, or the length of the book. If it has words, you are going to read it. Period! If the book sparks your interest and keeps you interested, that book is as good as read. Are you usually ready for the next book while consuming the current book? Then you may be a polygamist reader.

Sometimes I find myself not finishing several books in a row, then I’m binge reading a series late at night. But one thing ill never ever be is a Spoiler Lover. What kind of reader are you? Are you more than one, depending on the month?
