Ciera: What, to you, are the most important elements of good writing?
Skye Moon: As a reader, the most important thing to me is having a connection with the characters, so as an author creating characters my readers have a connection with is number one.
Ciera: Was it during Astral, or before that you knew Keira and Asher’s story would be longer? (Because who told you to leave us with just that lol)
Skye Moon: I always knew their story was going to be longer. The short was mainly to get a feel for if the readers were interested in getting to know them better. But even if they weren’t, it was getting written, lol.
Ciera: If you were to write a spin-off about a side character, which would you pick?
Skye Moon: None, nobody. Not nare one! Don’t even get these people started, lol. But seriously, it’d probably be the kids. I think trying to navigate the complexity of Devon and Nova’s relationship and the difference in how they were raised by their father would be interesting.
Ciera: If your book were made into a movie, which actors would play your characters?
Skye Moon: For Keira, I’m feeling Coco Jones or Ryan Destiny, and for Asher, I have absolutely no clue. I mean, if Jalen Hurts wants to start acting then he’ll for sure be number one.
Ciera: Favorite scene or chapter from this book? And why?
Skye Moon: My favorite scene from the book would probably be where Asher recreates Thanksgiving for Keira once he realizes he won’t be there with her. It not only shows that he listens but also cares enough to indulge in something so important to her.
Ciera: One song to describe this book, what would it be?
Skye Moon: Moon – J. Brown
